The 85-Calibar is our version of
our Firebar on a diet, 9 of them actually. Butted 9 times
throughout the length of the bar to use the correct amount
of material where it's needed most and removed it where
it's not while still retaining the strength of the bar.
Easier said than done but when done right, it's a beautiful
thing. Of course the 4130 tubing is heat-treated to provide
that great strength/weight ratio we just can't live without.
Material at the grips is also machined out to relieve some
weight but more importantly providing better grip adhesion
by reducing grip slide for softer compound BMX style grips.
Don't worry, still works great with lock-ons too. Sports
an 85mm rise (3-3/8") and is available in either classic
black or powder white.
